Grameen Healthcare Trust (GHT) is a Trust registered Under Trusts Act 1882. It is also registered under the Provisions of the Foreign Donations (Voluntary Activities) Regulation Act 2016 and subject to the Conditions Stated in the Act . It is registered as on 11 June 2007 vide NGOAB registration no 2242. It is a non-profit organization committed to alleviate health care problems through foreign donations from the various donors of the world. It supports, promotes and implements poverty focused healthcare, social business and other programs around the Country. It also provides training and technical assistance to Healthcare organizations and social business initiatives. GHT strives to create an international network of people and organizations focused in the area of fighting against poverty and assisting the poor with Healthcare and other services.
Our Projects
At present, GHS has four eye hospitals located at Bogura (2007), Barishal (2009), Thakurgaon (2013) and Sathkhira (2020) districts. Currently, we have 26 physicians, 153 nurses and paramedics, 105 admin and support staff. In total, 280 employees are serving in four eye hospitals. Altogether, GHS hospitals have 225 beds including wards and cabins.
GCCN is the largest and one of the leading Nursing colleges in the private sector of Bangladesh approved by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Bangladesh Nursing and Midwifery Council and University of Dhaka. Established in 2010, GCCN is a successful partnership between Glasgow Caledonian University (UK) and Grameen Health Care Services.
